Restrictions: Men only. Casting Dick Deadeye and Sir Joseph Porter. Singers should live in the vicinity of Richmond VA, since we are only offering a modest stipend. Singers from out of the area are welcome to apply, but must provide their own housing and transportation.
Materials Required: Please email resume, headshot and mp3 recording that was made in the last year. Please include one aria in English and one operetta/musical theater piece in English. If possible, please include a video clip or a youtube link.
Audition Requirements: If invited to audition, we will ask to hear one aria in English, one aria of your choice, one piece from musical theater/operetta.
We will agree on an audition time on a person to person basis. We are also open to casting based on electronic materials, so please feel free to send youtube clips.
Pianist Provided: Yes. If invited to audition, there will be $10 pianist fee.
Program Dates: February 22, 2013 - March 09, 2013
Program Information: We are looking to cast the roles of Dick Deadeye and Sir Joseph Porter in a production of H.M.S. Pinafore. The show is fully staged with costumes at the Henrico Theater.
Compensation:Payment is provided. A small honorarium of $75 per show will be provided to each singer. There will be no housing or travel offered.
