Restrictions: This is a competition for students of classical instruments and voice, providing them an opportunity to display their talent and be rewarded for it.
Contestants must be 18 and younger and come from Fredericksburg and the surrounding counties of Stafford, Spotsylvania, King George, Caroline, Culpeper, Orange, and Westmoreland.

Compensation:Payment is provided. The first place instrumental and vocal winners are each invited to perform with the Rappahannock POPS Orchestra and receive a cash prize of $500. The first, second and third place winners are invited to perform a pre-concert program before each of the three nights of our annual Chamber Music Festival in June.
