Storybook Musical Theatre, an Equity theater performing under a TYA contract in Montgomery County (PA), is holding its annual auditions for Equity and Non-Equity Actor/Singers, by appointment, on Sat. Sept. 8, 10 am to 2 pm and Monday, Sept. 10, 12 Noon to 4 pm.
Seeking: Strong, creative and energetic ingenue, juvenile and character performers for season of three original family musicals, "Alice in Wonderland", "Robin Hood", and "Rumpelstiltskin". Season runs from mid-December to early August. One show has split run. Each show has three to five week commitment. May be cast in one or more shows. Resident company that does not tour. Plays two theaters in Philadelphia/Montgomery County area.
Performers must be 18+ and have Daytime Availabilty for shows (mostly mornings) and some rehearsals. Storybook encourages performers of all ethnic and racial backgrounds to attend. Storybook has a concession with Actors' Equity to cast a limited number of Non-Equity performers.
Prepare: A song to show vocal range. Accompanist provided. Short readings from sides provided. Bring music in your key, pix and resume stapled together.
