Adult Auditions in August, 2012

Auditions are by appointment only and will be held at the Sara Belle and Neil November Theatre on Tuesday, August 14th and Wednesday, August 15th from 6:00 – 10:00 p.m. Appointments will be taken beginning on Monday, July 30th.

Rehearsals will begin on or around October 8, 2012
Performance Dates: November 14, 2012 – January 13, 2013
Casting 22 actors, 18 years or older, with strong singing and dancing abilities.
Those auditioning are asked to prepare 16 bars of a song and to be prepared to dance. Please bring sheet music in the appropriate key. An accompanist will be provided.
All performers will be paid.
Casting Breakdown:
Max Bialystock* (Mid 40’s – 60’s) A sleazy washed up Broadway producer seducing little old ladies for their money. A loveable rogue who is desperate to return to his former glory days; must have great comedic timing.
Leo Bloom (Mid 20’s –late 30’s) A and neurotic accountant yearning to become a Broadway producer and live life to the fullest!
Ulla (20’s – 30’s) The voluptuous Swedish actress ready to be an overnight star; a triple threat.
Roger De Bris (50’s – 60’s) The flamboyant director desperate for the true recognition of his theatrical talent.
Carmen Ghia (30’s – late 40’s) Roger De Bris’ personal assistant and close friends; flamboyant and over the top.
Franz Liebkind (40’s – 50’s ) The Nazi author of Springtime for Hitler who has never left WWII behind. A good German accent & the ability to play big comedy seriously are necessary.
Ensemble Strong singer/ dancers who act. All ensemble tracks play multiple roles.
* The role of Max Bialystock has been cast.
