We are casting singers and dancers for 1940s big band tour (our 19th year) for mid-Sept thru Nov 18, 2012 and mid Jan through April 2013 as well as future tours.
Seeking - Female alto/mezzo singers who are sophisticated, attractive and experienced performers, 5'7" to 5'9" (no heels) - dress size 4/6/8/10. Need warm, sultry sound of the period. Male baritone or tenor singers who are sophisticated, attractive and experienced performers, 5'9" or taller. Need singers who can sight read music, excellent at holding harmonies and move well. A cappella singing ability a plus for all singers. Vocal groups welcome. All parts require close harmony/vocal group singing and some solo work with live big band.
Saturday July 7th Female Singers 10am-1pm / Male Singers 2pm-4pm. Bring uptempo/ballad songs of the 1930s/1940s - no current Broadway. Pianist provided. Sign up ½ hour prior. Callbacks July 8th. All ethnicities welcome. Please come appropriately dressed. Weekly fee of $600 plus all transportation, rooms and most meals.
