The mission statement of the company is as follows:

The Philadelphia Opera Collective is a group consisting of young professionals and emerging artists in the operatic field. We are dedicated to providing opportunitiesfor young artists as well as creating a forum where the creative development ofthe operatic medium is a collective effort among its artists. We hope to use our productions to not only increase the amount of chamber opera in Philadelphia but to craft an environment where opera becomes accessible to those not familiar with the artform.

There is no pay for this venture, only the opportunity to work with one of Philadelphia's up and coming directors, Brenna Geffers, (who is known for her work with both the Exile Theatre Company and EgoPo Theatre Company) as well as the excellent exposure that the Fringe Festival provides.
