Bel Cantanti Summer Opera Festival Auditions

Bel Cantanti Opera is announcing auditions for its 2009 Summer Opera Festival, an intensive two week pay-to-sing program for young professionals. This year the workshop will take place at the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Alexandria, VA, from August 9 - 22, 2009. The operas being considered for performance are Donizetti's L'Elisir d'Amore and Rossini's La Cambiale di Matrimonio. Auditions are held at JPH hall at the Catholic University (620 Michigan Ave, Washington DC) on Saturdays, June 13 and 20 (1pm -6pm). Although not necessary, material from the operas of Donizetti and Rossini is encouraged, or from the operas above if possible. Please contact auditions@belcantanti.com to schedule an audition.
