AUDITIONS! SEASON 2009 - 2010
Bel Cantanti Opera announces auditions for its 2009-2010 season. Auditions will be held at the JPH Hall at the Catholic University of America on May 16th, 2.00pm - 10.00pm.
The 2009-2010 season productions are Handel's Giulio Cesare (October), Menotti's Amahl and the Night Visitors (December), two one-acts: Bizet's Le Docteur Miracle/Offenbach's Monsieur Choufleuri (March) and Bizet - Brook La tragédie de Carmen (May)
Singers who wish to arrange an audition should send an application (click), resume, headshot and mp3 recording (if available) to www.auditions@belcantanti.com. If there is a time preference for auditions, please indicate it in your email.
Singers will need to prepare two arias. One of the arias should in the language of the opera that he/she auditions for. Second aria is of singer's choice. If auditioning for the role of Cleopatra, Cesare, Carmen, Jose, please include the aria from the opera.
An application fee ($15, non-returnable) is to be sent to Bel Cantanti Opera, P.O. Box 3232, Silver Spring, MD, 20918 not later than May 13. Please, indicate if you are using your accompanist for audition. If not, an accompanist can be provided for you for additional fee ($20 cash). The street address for the B. J.
